Using the approved image library

Upload approved brand images or review Unsplash photos, write accurate alt text, and prevent repetitive article visuals.

What belongs in the library

Use the library for approved brand photography and reviewed Unsplash images intended for blog hero or supporting editorial use. Do not upload confidential files, licensed work you cannot redistribute, or images containing private customer information.

Upload a brand image

Open Blog Studio, go to the media library, and choose an image you are authorized to use. Add a concise internal title and an accurate visual description. The title and description help editors select media; they are not intended to appear as article captions unless the article explicitly includes one.

Review an Unsplash image

Search from the editorial workflow, inspect the image in context, and approve it before use. Attribution and source details remain attached to the media record. Use Unsplash primarily for supporting body imagery; reserve your own library for distinctive hero visuals when available.

Write useful alt text

Describe the meaningful subject and context visible in the image. Keep it natural and concise. Do not stuff keywords, repeat the article title, or describe details the image does not contain. Decorative images may use empty alt text when the editor supports it.

Match the reader’s intent

Choose a visual that clarifies or reinforces the topic—not a generic technology image. Consider whether the crop still works on a phone and whether text or faces would be cut off.

Avoid repetition

The library tracks approved records and recent use to reduce accidental reuse. Prefer unused or less-used images, especially for hero placement. Editors can override an automatic suggestion when another approved image is clearly stronger.

If an image does not load

Confirm the media record remains approved, then try another approved image. If the published article still shows a broken image, send support the article URL and media title.
