Audits

Run and prioritize an SEO audit

Run a technical and on-page audit, separate critical blockers from improvements, and move selected work into your plan.

Updated June 15, 2026

Prepare the site

Open SEO Audit and confirm the website URL belongs to the intended workspace. The site should be publicly reachable; login-only or blocked pages cannot be assessed reliably.

Start the audit

Run the audit and wait for processing to complete. Large or restricted sites may return fewer observations. The audit is a diagnostic snapshot, not a complete crawl guarantee.

Triage findings

Review critical access or indexing blockers first, then problems affecting page understanding, followed by quality improvements. Confirm a finding on the actual page before changing production content.

Group related work

Avoid creating a separate task for every repeated instance. Group issues with a shared cause—such as a template title problem—into one owned action with a clear completion check.

Protect intentional behavior

Some blocked pages, canonical choices, redirects, or noindex rules are deliberate. Document the reason rather than “fixing” a control that protects private or duplicate content.

Measure completion

After deployment, verify the changed page directly and run a later audit. A clean recheck confirms implementation, but search systems may take additional time to recrawl.
